ROLES OF THE STUDENT UNION MEMBERS

THE PRESIDENT

Is solely responsible for the work of the student union, represents student issues to the International Education Office as well as leads both the union and the student body.

THE VICE PRESIDENT

Is the president’s right hand man in all activities and is the source of command to both the school and the union.

PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER (PRO)

This is the communication bridge between the international student body and the administrative office of the university.

They are in charge of all the public announcements and information that is to be passed on to the student body

WELFARE OFFICE

Ensures utmost and effective living conditions for the international students in the campus. They also avail themselves to all students in need of any assistance within and beyond school borders.

ACADEMIC OFFICE

Is in charge of all the educational aspects of the international students. This includes ensuring a learning environment and competitions in order to broaden the knowledge of the students.

CREATIVE ARTS OFFICE

Organise events which ensures the livelihood and interaction between the student youth during their time on the campus.

They also help student mould their artistry by creating opportunities for them to showcase their talents.

SPORTS OFFICER

Plans and implements sports activities to keep the students active, fit and also to interact with other schools in terms of sports at any level.

Overall the function of the union as a whole is to put the interests of the international student body first covering all aspects of the students’ life during their learning period at this school. The union is a summarised family head of all international students as all members have the interests of the students at heart and their first priority.
